The MicroStar Lab, LTD. is a specialty industrial microbiology & materials testing laboratory that performs tests requiring unique expertise. Many
laboratories can do the tests we do, but only MicroStar does them with a
consistency that you will not find any place else.
At MicroStar, with
all of the standard test methods, we have identified parameters that can
impact results and refined our techniques to narrow the range of our
conditions. For example, in the ASTM
D3273, the moldy soil that produces that fungal inoculum is within
the specifications of the test method if it is +/- 2 pH units.
However, a soil at 5.5 supports different fungal growth than a soil at
7.6, so all of MicroStar’s soil pans have a pH range of that is +/- 0.5 pH units,
producing greater consistency in the fungal inoculum from test chamber
to test chamber.
